VdJ (Day 37): Lunch and a Storm!

Word of the Day:  el arco iris (el arko ee-reese)

Well, it never rains, it pours...sorry, couldn't resist that but it did POUR here just a little while ago!!

Let's start with the lunch. You may remember Chema (Sal's cousin from town). We took Al & Colleen to his restaurant before they left and he is the one that sells those amazingly delicious carnitas on Saturdays (which we will be getting again this week....). His son, little Chema, has a restaurant just down the road from Hacienda Contreras. We were all invited over to lunch today. As always, it was great!!

(actually doing the grilling!!)
Quiet afternoon back here until a pretty cool storm rolled through. Thunder, lightning and a good dose of rain and wind for a bit. I must admist, I was worried about Don Quioxte and Fiona but they seemed to weather the storm fine (no pun intended, but thanks if you noticed!!)
There's our el arco iris!!
The also FAMOUS Sherman, belonging to Kevin & Ruth,
basking in the after glow of the storm...
Early post today. In fact, so early that we are still drinking our wine but not much else on the horizon for the rest of the day. Hope you all had a great one today!!
Cheers friends!!
