Mazatlan (Jan 18 & 19)

Jan 18th: Not much on the go but we did manage a beach walk. It was super windy but still pretty darn nice. There were warning flags out for dangerous surf, stingrays and jellyfish (little blue ones that I have on good authority from Josh that they sting like a bugger).

Jan 19th: Went on a road trip with our Mazatlan tour guides extraordinaire, Bill & Carol, to El Quelite. It is a small town about 40 minutes away and so worth the drive. First we stopped at Marmol. A smaller little village with a really bright pink church. So pretty!

After that it was a short drive to El Quelite. The restaurant is incredible. There are simply too many things to even take pictures of. Apparently there was a massive tree growing right in the restaurant but the hurricane and ensuing flood ripped it out two years ago. It is never possible to replace something of that magnitude. We thought it was beautiful nonetheless but Bill and Carol still really miss seeing it. It was the cornerstone of the restaurant. It is a spectacular little town. Food was great and great company too!

So that was our day. Walked over to the beach and took just a few pictures. It is a three minute walk from the RV park.
