First, you have fuel up with a hot cup of java from McDonald's so you can play Monopoly!!!
Next, it was over the new eastbound lanes of the Port Mann bridge. Pretty impressive looking...
Naturally, we went through all types of weather (except warm). You never know what you will get on a drive at this time of year, even snow up on the Coquihalla Hwy. Then it got quite nice but cool on the rest of the drive:
Then it was a lunch stop at North Thompson Provincial Park where we used to camp with our kids. Such great memories are harboured in this beautiful place. Our kids will recognize these next few photos!!
After that nice stop, it was off to Valemount and the Dream Catcher Inn. We stopped here on our way back to the coast in June and really enjoyed our stay with Doreen VanAsten. I never knew that someone could make you feel so at home, but she manages it. We are super happy to be here a second time. When we went upstairs to the kitchen, there was a fresh apple crumble cooling on the counter....yummy!! Please come on by if you are driving on Hwy 5 and find yourself sleepy and in need of a comfy, cozy bed and a fabulous breakfast. Don't go to a chain hotel, come and see Doreen!! ...and here comes Tiger too!!
..enjoying some wine we brought in the dining room.
...that's a big me-ow!!
Tomorrow, it will be off to Jasper for a little walk-about (if there isn't snow!!) and then on to Edmonton. We are staying at another B&B there, so we will let you know how that works out. But for now, good night to all our family and friends!!
