Post Party Days (Part 2)

After all that excitement, we packed up, said our good-byes and headed back home to B.C. It is a pretty nice drive back through the mountains. The prairies are beautiful in their own way but give me the mountains, anytime! We made an overnight stop in Coldstream (near Vernon) at Mark & Carmen's place (my brother & sister-in-law)

After that nice drive and overnight stop, it was time to hit the road again and get back to the lower mainland of Vancouver (Oct 10th). We took the Fraser Canyon route, the old Hwy 1. Most people take the lengendary Coquihalla but for us, this is a much nicer route in good weather, the proverbial "road less travelled"....

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

On route, it was lunch in the kitchy, Alpine Canyon Restaurant. Open 365 days a year, including Christmas. Apparently, they view everyone as family!!

 

 

 

The nice waitress playing cards in between waiting on customers...
