Yes, I'm stil around!

Yes, I am still alive. Thanks for asking or wondering or sending out an APB or alerting the media. I really appreciate it!

Yes, summer did, indeed arrive. We have been pretty busy with camping and family. Two of our favourite things.

The month of July brought us:

First and most important July 1st Canada Day:

Then more random camping trips:

Chilliwack Lake Provincial Park

So beautiful here

Now our pancake apprentice is taller than
his instructor!

Then we were off to our other favourite camping time, in the Kootenays, with Teagan and Rudy. This is probably our second favourite provincial park in BC. Kokanee Creek Provincial Park.

Our beautiful Rudy...

Went on a little side trip with Rudy
to Rosebud Lake. Super tranquil...

One evening, a huge rain and hail storm rolled through. We came back to the campsite to quite a few fallen trees. These ones narrowly missed the trailer! EEEK!!

See you guys soon!!

Then it was back home to White Rock for a few weeks. Just regular "hanging out" with the troops here.

It's never lost on me how lucky we are to live in this area. There is always something to do or see. We have spent almost all our life being near the ocean (with a few exceptions of some earlier Alberta work time decades ago) and I know we would miss it terribly if we ever moved away. So we won't....

Time spent at our local Crescent Beach,
about a 12 minute drive from our place.

Always followed by ice cream.
Naturally!

The White Rock promenade and looking out
towards our pier "Canada's longest pier"

Some beautiful murals.
I'll have to do a "mural tour" one day.
Stay tuned for that I guess!

Hanging out on our patio, warming up at the firepit. Except for Holden, he seems to be without his shirt!

We decided that we would take an "adventure day" to North Vancouver using only public transit. This involves the double decker bus to Richmond then a transfer to the Skytrain and then (the best part) a short Seabus ride aross Burrard Inlet to North Vancouver and the Lonsdale Quay. We had lunch and then reversed the adventure to come back home. So much fun!!

The Seabus goes right past the cruise
ships that are at the port terminal.
Boys thought that was pretty neat.

Well, that wraps up July. I'll cotinue with August and September on the next blog. No, I won't wait so long. I'm on it pretty much right away! Just wanted to give everyone time for a bathroom break!

Peace out friends (for now...)

Thought for the Day: I, myself, am made up entirely of flaws, stitched together with good intentions.
