Merry Christmas

We are always surprised when this time of year seems to come around so fast, right? Here we are again.

Our month started with a great, early Tamas (my maiden name) family dinner on Dec 7th. It is hard to get everyone together at anytime of the year but especially at this time of year. Schedules are busy, roads aren't great for travel over mountain passes. We have people in all areas of BC. From the Lower Mainland, Sunshine coast, Vancouver Island, the Okanagan, the Kootenays....even some from Sweden!! We got a great turnout but our Vancouver Island, Swedish nor our Kootenay families could come. Maybe next year.....

Some of us you know. Some you don't.
Too many to explain.....Most important my Mom Nadyne in the middle-front!!

Over the years when our kids were little we would gather up extra family and walk down at Crescent Beach in South Surrey on Christmas Eve. It was always so much fun. Some years we met up with scuba divers who would dive off the pier. They would have glow sticks underwater so they could see each other. It was so much fun to watch. We haven't seen them in a long time. I often wonder how long they carried on their tradition. Maybe we will see them again. Now we are trying we restore this tradition with our kids and grandkids.

You may notice that "some" of the family are still wearing shorts. That would be Josh!! Since he was little he would choose shorts over any other clothing!!!

This blog would be no where if it weren't for my famous foot shots.....

They also collect money for a local charity.

Our Kootenay family couldn't be here for Christmas. Too hard to get over those passes and when you run your own business like Shawn does, it's just too hard to be away. Here they are:

Dec 27th found us out for a walk to the beach in White Rock. Our little slice of paradise, only not as warm a beach as we would like. Still, it's mild and no s- - w. It is beautiful there, as you can see.

So, that's it for us. We will now begin our "real" countdown to retiring and beginning our travels in our new motorhome which we introduced to you a while back. Last day of work will be Dec 18th (shhhh....don't tell our bosses yet!).

We wish you all a Happy New Year. We wish you a year filled with love, light, good health and adventures of epic quality. Spend time with ones you love, make new friends, make someone smile!

Peace friends!

Thought for the Day: You can’t go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending.(Special thanks to Chris Bauer)

  1. Nice Family turnout even if everyone couldn't make it but anyone that knows the BC geography can understand why.
The Grands have really grown since they were first introduced on your blog.
Now let the real countdown begin. Looking forward to our paths crossing again down the road.
Enjoy a Safe, Happy and Healthy New Year.

    It's about time.
