Don't let that cute little face fool you...Maggie is in charge!!!
First off the hop, today we have HAPPY BIRTHDAY wishes to Mel Beatty. Mel is Josh's Mom-in-law and she is an awesome lady. She spoils everyone rotten with her hospitality and cooking and we are very fortunate to have her in our lives! Thanks Mel (and Rick) for always making us feel at home at your place. A picture for you of the lovely Fraser River, from our "new" digs in New Westminster!!
Happy B'Day to you, our friend!!!
We have kept busy these past few days. Taking in the RV show on Friday out in Abbotsford with Doug's brother, Don & wife Diana. Love hanging out with those two. We always have a good laugh, which we did at the show (....and just who put that big stuffed bear on the toilet in that motorhome anyway???) and while out enjoying a little dinner after. Thanks guys. Always a blast with you two and NEVER a dull moment!!
Saturday found us taking in some of the Adesa Auto Auction where Josh works. We love hanging out there and watching all the cars go through the lanes. If you want to sell your car or buy a car, check out the public auction at www.adesarichmond.ca
After that we were out walking along the boardwalk that graces this entire area. It is several kilometers long and a joy to hang out on. Watching the Fraser River meander by, the tugboats, log booms. We love it here. They had a festival call RiverFest. It celebrates all things about the river, from the animals and fish who inhabit it to the people who use it. It is just a general fun vibe down here.
Great little market inside the Westminster Quay.....
Time for a quick glass of sangria before we head back out the
door to our next assignment in North Vancouver!!
So, next up (....yup, still on Saturday) we went to North Vancouver (Mom's place) to meet up with my Uncle Al (my Mom's brother) & Auntie Mary who were visiting from Marquette, MI. You may remember their names. They were the ones on Anna Maria Island FL that we stayed with way back in March on the US portion of our trip. Super fun people and so nice to see them up here.
My Mom, Nadyne, and her little brother, (Uncle) Alan
Clockwise from bottom left: Kathy, Gus, Josh, Auntie Mary,
my sister Julie, Mom, Uncle Alan, Nancy & Doug
Oh yeah, you all know this little guy!!!
Uncle Alan is Josh's "Great" uncle so that makes
him Gus' "Great-Great" uncle!!
Mom, Josh, Gus, Uncle Al & Doug.....
So, that's our story (and we're sticking to it) for this week. Not sure what this upcoming week will bring but you will find out soon enough.....right after we know!!
(Hey - did you all like the new header photo? Taken at the Keltic Lodge on Cape Breton Island on the Cabot Trail this past June.....)
Peace....

Funny, with all the pictures we took on that 6 month trip, I specifically remember taking that particular one. Keltic Lodge was so pretty, even in the fog and drizzle!
