Summer arrived

Seems while I wasn't looking too!

How are you all? We are doing great. Just been busy with family and camping etc. Lucky we are, yes.

June 1 - 8

Super fun hanging out with this dude.
Our time together never disappoints.

Lettuce head...

Some family came for a visit from Ottawa. Super fun to see Dale, Sue & their duaghter Chelsea (Vancouver gal) again. We met at Steveston on the far side of Richmond. Great brunch with them and Don & Diana from Langley.

Great spot to visit after your brunch is London Landing. Very important part of the British Columbia coast and the fishing history here. We were impressed with all the various displays. Below is how they dried and repaired the seine nets.

Company that makes the steering wheels for the ships.

Many Chinese immigrants arrived to work here.
This is how they were housed. Bunks everywhere, 3 high!
This indstry thrived because of them.

You can wander in and out of the various houses to see how people lived here on the docks. Super interesting.

June 12-14

We took off for a visit with my brother and sister-in-law They live in the Okanagan so it never disappoints. So beautiful there. Spent a few days with them in the sunshine.

My beautiful sister-in-law, Carmen.

Doug and my brother, Mark.
No, they weren't going fishing!

June 15-18

Since it wasn't too far from Teagan and Rudy, we scooped an extra visit with them for a few days.

June 20-27

Back home again and lucky me I had a birthday. I do feel fortunate to be in great health (knock on wood) and it isn't lost on me that it is a priviledge to get another trip around the sun...

After this it was a quick trip over to Nanaimo to see Susann and Lacey. Always fun over there.

Cindy & Christopher-nephew (newlyweds from May)
Lacey, Doug & Susann (and my arm)

Susann's beautiful deck...

My beautiful big sister, Susann

Then it was an evening ferry back home and White Rock

Another BC Ferry ready to go...

Well, that brings you all up to the end of June I'll add in the rest from July soon...promise. Yes, I can hear you all groaning!

Thanks for sticking around everyone!

Peace out friends!

Thought for the Day: Gratitude turns what we have into enough.
