Merry Christmas, one and all!

Merry Christmas to everyone,

near and far...

Seems funny that we are ALWAYS surprised how quickly this time of year creeps up on us! But come along quickly it does. Once Remembrance Day is finished, it's a quick bob-sled ride into Christmas!!

We were lucky to have my Mom, Nadyne, here for a few overnight sleep-overs. She is always good for a party! Josh, Kathy, Gus & Jasper were here for dinner and a great time on Christmas Day. We loved it.....Unfortunately, Teagan, Shawn & Rudy were not able to make it down. A little too far and too many mountain ranges to cross safely for just a few days.....someday.

Phew....that was a busy time but VERY enjoyable!! Love Christmas time but it is always nice to get "back to normal", whatever that is with us! 

 

We hope everyone had a lovely Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanza or what ever you choose to celebrate. Let it be with love, family and friends.......

How can it be that the past four years have flown by??

A triangle cake was the request for this 4 year old!!!

 

Actually, a bit out of order here but on the 4th of December, we made a trek up to Dogwood Christmas Tree Farm in Fort Langley BC (www.dogwoodchristmastreefarm.com). This was an annual tradition for us and some family members for many, many years. Once everyone grew up and moved away we stopped so it is SO nice to start the tradition once again. This is the second year for the new generation now.

Okay, this one will do and Josh has LOTS of help!!

 

And with that ,the Christmas tree, birthday party few weeks was over. Next up, Christmas season!!!!

Remembrance Day

As is our tradition, we made our yearly trek to the cenotaph for the Remembrance Day services. This year, we changed it up and attended the White Rock services. It was nice being able to have us all walk just 5 minutes away. A little smaller but still a great turn-out. Was extra nice because when we went to the big services in Cloverdale, the main highway behind us always remained open so it created a ton of noise and it was a bit hard to hear all that was going on.

Super proud of the fact that Gus and Jasper have attended every year.

Nice to stand here and see the parade come in with all the proud vets and see our beautiful ocean too...Makes you realize how lucky we are to live in Canada.

Very emotional day. As always , we end the outing with a nice lunch out. This year we were at Delrios in South Surrey. Our thanks to Mel and Rick for treating us for lunch, along with all the rest. Very kind of you.

More important today than any other day, PEACE.
