Apparently, there is a total solar eclipse somewhere in the world but not here in the rainy, Pacific Northwest that's for sure! That's okay, our eyes thank us.

Back to "regular life" here in White Rock...They tell us that spring is here and although we've had a few nice days. Lots of rain and some chilly temperatures still. That's life in the rainforest part of the world.
Helped a bit during spring break.
Even put Doug to work pushing the stroller!
Train tracks in White Rock
We had some really beautiful art installations put on the promenade in White Rock for all to enjoy. Unfortunately, someone figured that they should hack-saw one of the huge crystals off one of the display pieces. So frustrating. I guess that is why we can't have nice things. People (some) have to ruin it for others. Senseless vandalism.
Before - so pretty.

After some as*#@le decided they needed it.
I mean, WHO is going to buy it???

Some flowers always find a way, don't they?
A tribute to our Semiahmoo First Nations whose

I talk ALOT about Crescent Beach and White Rock. Here is a Google map of the two. You can see Crescent Beach in the upper left corner and White Rock in the middle bottom. They are about 10 minutes apart. We are also about a four minute drive to the US border. We live just below the Sourth Surrey Athletic Park in green in the middle of the map.
I try and get the boys down to Crescent Beach (different than the White Rock beach) for a walk and, of course, some ice cream at Mr. Martino's.
Mr Martino always tells the boys that when they are old enough they can come and work for him but they have to work the first hour
for free due to all the ice cream they will eat.
August is "all in" on this idea!
Patty & Mark, our long, long time friends were in town from Florida.
We don't get to see them very often
so we L-O-V-E it when they are in town.

Josh's 39th birthday and we spent a few hours at the local Township 7 Winery (about 15 minutes away from us). Was absolutely soul-lifting in the sunshine for a short time.
39 looks good on you Josh!
Here they come!!
I think that's about all I've got for you. Not much else happening here in White Rock. Before we know it, we'll be camping again in mid-May!!
Peace out friends!
