It seems that the month of December flew past us. Not sure if anyone else found the same thing as well? It always comes as a surprise when Christmas Day rolls around, but it does occur on the SAME day every year. Maybe it's time to NOT be surprised!!
Here is just a little snippet of what we had on the go......
Beach time after school for someone who turned 5!!
Gotta love our West Coast December days!!
A little snippet into our Christmas...
Someone was thinking of us and the little trailer!
(Thanks Shannon, Brandur & Ivy!)
Christmas morning at the kids' place....
Our beautiful Kootneay family!!
Always miss them but even more at these special times.
Our beautiful little Rudy.....
Like his momma, Rudy loves his Richard Scarry book!!
Our great friends, Mark & Patty from Minnesota. They were in town visiting family & grandkids too! Merry Christmas & Happy Hannukah to you all!!
We were so lucky to have such a gorgeous day for New Years Eve. What a wonderful way to wrap up 2017. Somehow getting out to walk around and enjoy our family (most of them anyway) and the beautiful area we live in really revitalizes your soul.
Come on along....
I love this lady.....
...and this dude!
...and this little guy too!!!!
Think I will keep these two as well....
Looking back towards the Vancouver mountains, across Mud Bay
After this, it was off to North Vancouver to spend the evening and overnight with my Mom. Always some good conversation, great food & great drinks!! Couldn't be luckier!
We went up to the rooftop deck to watch the fireworks that were going off
at Canada Place in Vancouver. Unfortunately, the fog had other plans. It stubbornly lay across Burrard Inlet, obscuring the fireworks, even though we are pretty high up .....oh well! Can't argue with Mother Nature.
A little blurry, but somewhere straight across there is downtown Vancouver!
Well, that is it. The end of 2017 and the beginning of 2018. We wish for a great year for everyone. Full of good health, happy times with friends & family, near & far. Dreams fulfilled. New places visited. New goals set out to be tackled. We couldn't be luckier and we are fortunate to have an amazing family and fabulous friends. We are thankful for each and everyone of you. Thanks for "riding" along with us even if we didn't "ride" very far this year. Thanks for sticking with us anyway.....we appreciate it!
The countdown is on now for our departure to Mexico for the end of this year. In fact, it's exactly 360 days away.....imagine the possibilities!!!!
For now, it's off to work (for which we are thankful for such great jobs too.).
Thought for the Day....I hope you live a life you're proud of. If you find you are not, I hope you have the strength to start all over again.
