After that, we headed out to ride up to Cerritos. Cerritos is about a 20 minute ride north of us, just up past where I showed you the Riu Resort is. Funny little grouping of shops. Not sure why they would be there. They have the look that they have been there for quite a while. Even before the hotel opened up.
If you come up here early enough, you can buy fresh
fish right up here.....No, we aren't up THAT early!!
The rest of the restaurant that is in the picture just above.....
Gotta have souvenirs!
Very nice little Loonie Beans Coffee Shop.....
Even roast their own coffee here......
You just walk down in front of all the shops and right through the restaurants.
Cheeky shot I know, but we asked if we could park our bikes in front of the hotel.
Security down at the road level had to call up to the
front security to get the okay!!!
Damage done just recently when the waves were pretty high and
took out some of the lagoon by the Riu.....Love the warning markings, or lack thereof!
Later in the afternoon, we went back to the little restaurant to ask for a little cup of ice so we could make some cold drinks. They were kindly enough to oblige us, since we ate there earlier today. Ice is a VERY rare commodity for Doug and I since we cannot carry it on board with us. No freezer equals no ice. Three months is a long time to go in the heat without it!!!
Like frozen gold to us......
A Mexican favourite. Tequila and Squirt (like Fresca). It was nirvana to have it with ice.
Oh, the tumblers....Cindy and Bruce gave us those for our first trip south in 2012
and we have kept them in the van ever since.
We figured they would approve of the new drinks in them, right guys?!
....and that is not a bad view, huh??
Wrapped up and tied with a bow, just for you all!! Hope everyone is having a great week so far. It's all downhill to the weekend from here folks!!
Peace and good night!!
