Phoenix AZ (Day 4)

Temperatures here haven't been too high, but compared to Canada, they have been a welcome respite. Although we did hear from some family members that it was "nearly" as warm there! We are definitely liking the sunshine!!

We are really enjoying the pace (snail-like) we have established, enjoying breakfast on the patio in the sunshine!!

In the afternoon we drive about 1 hour from here to some friends of Don & Diana's that live in Maricopa. They had invited us for dinner. It was a fun evening and although Doug and I had only met them once, we were all treated like old friends. Thanks Burnie & Richard!!

There is a rather large mascot here at the house, "Donkey". Since we wanted him to share in the festivities, we decided that he should be brought along on some travels!!

Got my travelling shades on....

Let's get this show on the road!!!

Burnie, Richard and granddaughter Tristen and Donkey!
So, another great evening with good food and wine and friends. We loved it!! Thanks again Burnie and Richard.
Monday we are actually doing some touring around. First stop will be the Hole in the Rock park. Should be fun!! Wanna come along??
Thought for the Day: Sometimes the smallest step in the right direction ends up being the biggest step of your life. Tip toe if you must. But take the step.
