Weekend happenin'

Welcome to fall in New Westminster. I do believe that when Bob & Danna arrive back here on the 12th, they will see a much different view than when they left nearly 6 weeks ago!!

Just a few minutes later the fog rolled in!
....then the fog left again!!

Back on the ferry on Saturday to Nanaimo for a quick visit.
These mountains of Howe Sound never get boring!!

Quite some time ago, my sister, Susann (the one who lives in Nanaimo) bought some concert tickets. When I say "some time ago" I really mean it because she told us when we were in Louisiana in February that she had bought Nitty Gritty Dirt Band tickets.

Some of you may remember this iconic country band. They have been playing together for 48 years. We had a great evening (....thanks Susann!). It brought back a lot of memories and there were some awesome songs. Mr. Bojangles, Fishin' in the Dark, Dance Little Jean, God Bless the Broken Road (which was actually made a huge hit by the band Rascal Flatts, but was written by one of the NGDB members). It was a very memorable evening.

All in all, it was a great evening and a great concert at
the little Port Theatre in Nanaimo.....
Leaving Nanaimo behind on Sunday and heading back to the Lower Mainland.

With Doug away visiting his Mom and family in Alberta, it's just
me, myself, the fireplace......and Maggie!!
What do you mean I don't get wine too??
Hope everyone has had a great weekend. This week we will have a special treat and we get to meet some of our long time blog readers....stay tuned!!

  2. We're sooo ready for thursday! I feel it will be the first a many get togethers.
