White Rock BC (Part 2)

First of all and very important in the "catch-up" time on the blog is a very Happy Birthday wish to our brother and brother-in-law, Don Beglaw!! Hope you had a fantastic day in Alberta with family. Pretty sure there was a homemade cake involved!!

Happy Birthday Don!!!
Here is a little slice of our day at the White Rock beach - gotta love summer!!
First a little breakfast at the Roadhouse in Surrey.....

Back home for some sunscreen slathering!!

The beautiful White Rock boardwalk.....

When you tell Gus he is going to the beach,
he knows EXACTLY where you mean!!

Hey little buddy!!!!

Two boys that LOVE the beach......

Doug, Gus & Josh

So much work empting this ocean out!!!
Sorry for the absence on the blog lately. It has just felt so good to reconnect with our family members. From Ottawa to Medicine Hat to Nelson to the Lower Mainland, we love you all and have found our time with you all very rejuvenating, enjoyable and oh, so important!! Families are everything!!!!!
Wednesday, after our 29,417 kms journey, we will finally be back in Nanaimo, a full 6-1/2 months after we left. Boy, I think there might be some dust in that suite, not to mention the mail to be opened!! Our thanks to my sister, Susann for taking good care of everything while we were gone!!
So, we will do a full review on this epic journey once we are home and have decompressed. Such a ride it has been!!!
Don't worry, we will still keep you all informed of our time at home. You know I always find something to tell you about!! There is often something going on!!
Thought for the Day: Enjoy the little things in life, because one day, you will look back and realize they were the big things.
I may have used this before but I find it so very true......

  1. Welcome home! Been following you since you visited Ruth and Kevin, been following them for about a year.
Itching to buy a Westie and take off!

    1. That a girl!! Join the VW Westie club! Thanks so much for following along!

  2. We also "found" you from K & R's blog.

We are anchored to the Saskatchewan prairies due to 3 grandchildren ( 4, 2, and six months), but I would love to live on Vancouver Island somewhere.

Glad to hear you will still be posting from Nanaimo, one of the places I would definitely consider moving to.

    Take care ... TnT

    1. Well, enjoy your grandchildren. They are amazing, aren't they? We will keep you posted on all the goings on Van Island. Come for a visit sometime!!

      Thanks for following along!!

  3. Gus is so stinkin' cute! Congrats on your round trip success! Wowzers! It was a big one! We're so grateful to have been a part of it all. Hope you settle in well back home. I know it won't be long until you'll have itchy feet again. :-) XO XO
