only 18 months old. She would often fall asleep in the canoe!!
The beautiful Creston valley. Very fertile area.
At this point in the highway you can either go up and over the very high pass of the Salmo Creston Hwy 3 or take the Hwy 3A up the east side of Kootenay Lake to the FREE ferry at the top. The drive is about 70 kms up a twisty great road. I would recommend anyone do this drive.

It is a 35 minute ferry ride over to Nelson....FREE!!

It takes about 30 minutes and then you are at the bridge
leading into Nelson BC

Oh, the other "little" thing to mention is that it was our 37th wedding anniversary on July 2nd!! Yahoo to us!! Doug likes to call it "Wedded Bliss"!! He told me he was happy to take me on a cruise for our anniversary - across Kootneay Lake!!
