 Happy Birthday Agnes!!!!

Gosh, I wish I had lots to report on today but I just don't. Was really nice to be able to cook and eat breakfast outside (oh, and wash up too!). Really feels like camping now! There are campers all around us but they are the real camper types, not RV park folks. We have discovered that there is a bit of a difference. We definitely fall into the "camper" category. There are lots of campfires going, even during the day and I just love that smell of the smoke in the outdoors. We are hoping for lots more of these type of parks in the future.

Did the same river walk again, only in the opposite direction. Super nice this time with the sun blazing down on us. Then hopped on the bikes and rode all over the campground.

No matter how far you travel, there is always 2 things that follow you:
laundry and dishes!!

Update on our friend Mary-Pat. She is still not feeling good and is hacking and generally feeling icky. So sad that we haven't been able to visit a bit more with her. We have had a couple of good talks in the morning, sitting outside in the sun but then I think we wear her out! She is staying on at this park until at least Monday in the hopes of shaking whatever she has. After that she heads, slowly back to the Sacramento area. I don't have a picture of her with us here so my only option was to steal one from her own blog. This was one of my favourites while she was at Bette's RV Park in Abbeville - shrimp feast!! (Just for the record, I have seen this determined look on her before!!) Our friend, Patty, was sick recently at one of her trade shows and she said the people called her Typhoid Mary so we have adopted this nickname for Mary-Pat.

So, without further ado, here is our friend Typhoid Mary-Pat!!
Now, just picture her with a Kleenex instead of a shrimp!!!

So, that's it for us. We are leaving here tomorrow and heading for Breaux Bridge, LA, about 80 miles away to Poche's Fish 'n RV Camp. I am sure I will have lots to report on once we are settled there!! We have really enjoyed our stay here (thus the 6 days!!), thanks Sam Houston Jones State Park.

Still looking for that alligator though.........

Peace....

Thought for the Day: Don't give up what you want most for what you want now.
