New Westminster

Our great friends, Bob and Danna, live in New Westminster...right on the Fraser River and we were lucky enough to join them tonight for dinner.

The Fraser River runs through B.C. starting out as a dripping spring at Fraser Pass. It flows north to the Yellowhead Hwy and then west past Mt. Robson in the Rocky Mountains and travels a long, long 1,375 kms (754 miles) and emptying out into the Strait of George at the City of Vancouver. It is a working river. It is like the "super highway" of rivers. There is always busy traffic out there and we always find it extremely interesting to watch the tug boat traffic moving up and down, dragging barges, log booms, etc. It is the 10th longest river in Canada. This river is named after great explorer, Simon Fraser. Pretty hard to believe that it starts out as a "dripping spring", huh?

Danna & Bob - Thanks again, guys!!

 Just us...

 Oh Canada...

The mighty Fraser River, almost at it's end...

Two tugs working on each side of a huge log boom...

Little tug pulling that HUGE Seaspan barge!!!

Well, that was our evening - enjoyable as always!! We hope you all had a great Tuesday!!
Maggie says "Good night"
Cheers friends!!
