Bucerias (Day 4): Puerto Vallarta Day

Word of the DayRecuerdo (Re-quer-do)
                              Good memories (...of something)

We re-lived with Bob and Danna some of their Puerto Vallarta memories of when they came down here, some 40 years ago. From what they say, it has changed just a little bit!!

We started out with a bus ride on the local transit bus. We enjoy taking the local buses around Mexico.

No foot shots but we have "hat shots"

For lunch, we stopped at Café Roma. It is just off the malecon. We were there in 2009. Still the same staff too! They have this things where you can sign a dollar or peso note and they will staple it up on the roof beams. Kinda fun to go back and find your notes up there still!!

A nice visit with the owner of Café Roma - he is originally from Steinbach, MB

We signed these $20 ps notes with our kids' names on them.
Still up there on the wall!! See the original dates? April 21/2009

Now we have a new one up on the beam!!

Up on the wall goes the Gus note!!
(See the Danna loves Roberto down and to the left of it??!!)

Some of the cheeky wait staff....

..and the equally cheeky Frederico....

Yummy lunch...

Puerto Vallarta beachfront - very busy today!!

Bob and Danna buy some mementos from the trip...

Lots and lots of nice colours...of everything!!

Back at the Decameron, we enjoyed a few drinks before getting ready to go for Japanese food at one of the restaurants. I just loved the colour of these drinks that Doug got us, Blue Hawaiian....

...and they matched Bob's shirt, perfectly!!

Oh, here's our room - pretty nice...

That's a nice day for sure. We were glad to share in Bob and Danna's reminiscing of old times here. Sounds like it changed a lot!!

See you all, poolside, tomorrow!!

Cheers friends!!

  1. Looks like you're having a ball and are putting together many 'recuerdos' for later! Are you spending serious time bronceando (tanning)?
Have fun at the beach while I enjoy the Arizona desert. hugs
