Todos Santos to La Paz

Not much to report today. We arrived at Campestre Maranatha in La Paz so we could comfortably wait to get on the ferry tomorrow. Site is tidy and a bit off the highway so is pretty quiet. Nice pool, but no time to enjoy it.

Just to show you some scale of what we are up against!!

Doug always planning, planning....

I like brown sugar with my oatmeal, but not sure if this is what I bought, oh well!!

So......last night on the Baja. We went out for dinner with Mike & Terri Church and had a great evening - thanks to you both!! They helped us pour over our plans for the mainland travel and for that we are very grateful.  We appreciate all they have shared with us.

Yup, that's it for the Baja. We loved it and learned lots about Mexico travel. If this was all we did, it would have been a blast ,but there is so MUCH more to see and we are looking forward to it, starting with our ferry ride tomorrow night.

So, not sure if we can post from the boat. I hope so. If you don't see a posting tomorrow night, you will see one from Mazatlan on Wednesday!!

Cheers!!

  1. Had to laugh at the picture of Doug reading the Mexico camping book. That's me! I know that book like the back of my hand!

  2. It has been great following you down the Baja Peninsula. Lots of wonderful pictures. We have been reading about this ferry ride for several years so it will be interesting to get a first hand report on how it was and how much it cost. Keep up the good writing!

    1. Thanks for the kind words. Glad you have been enjoying the blog. It is my first attempt so I am having some fun with it!! Ferry costs for our VW van is about $310 US. We still have to pay for our vehicle permit for the mainland and will post what that costs.

  3. Have a good and safe ferry ride...can't wait for all the pictures, and advise when you finally make it back to the cold (but hopefully warming soon) North!
